Today’s guest is Jumana Scoggins, MA, NCC, LCMHC. Jumana is a psychotherapist who works individually with adults and adolescents as well as with couples in her Blakeney office in Charlotte, NC. Three years ago, she separated from her husband of 19 years and they recently finalized their divorce. They have 3 children between them and 2 children from her former husband’s previous marriage.
Sherry and Jumana discuss the feelings of resentment and guilt that can infiltrate the divorce process. They also share valuable resources and tips for keeping the children’s best interests at the forefront so they don’t have to suffer through their parents’ divorce. Jumana shares her own separation and divorce experiences and how she was able to work through her resentment in order to co-parent with her ex-husband.
